WICR Picture Gallery Indy Jazz Fest Band: Tribute to Slide Hampton The Indy Jazz Fest Band performed at the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center Thursday, September 13, 2012. 2010 Ralph Adams Lifetime Achievement Awards were held at The Jazz
Kitchen on October 17th. The night included performances by Clifford
Ratliff and the Indy Jazz Company and The Derrick Gardner Quartet.
Before the show was a panel discussion featuring this year's recipients
of the Lifetime Achievement Award.Those who received the Ralph Adams Lifetime Achievement Award this year are trumpeters Clifford Ratliff and Jim Edison, drummer Mad Harold Cardwell, pianist Marvin Chandler and saxophonist Bill Penick. Here are some highlights from the historic evening! Pie Your Professor  WICR and Polk Food Services sponsored the Pie Your Prof. event to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Various Professors at the University of Indianapolis volunteered to be pied in the face by the highest bidding student.Check out the hilarity! Want to see video footage of the event? Click here! Animals and All That Jazz  The Indianapolis Zoo presented weekly jazz concerts during the summer of 2010. Various performers took the stage each week, while guests enjoyed the scenery of the zoo. Here is the line up of the performers:
Check out the pictures from the six nights of Animals and All That Jazz! Jazz at the Point  Jazz at the Point takes place every other Wednesday evening at the Eagle Creek Park Marina. Every other week, a different Jazz ensemble takes the stage to provide a free concert.
